Caracterización morfológica y molecular de ectomicorrizas nativas de suelo forestal inoculadas en Pinus montezumae en condiciones de invernadero

Los hongos ectomicorrízicos representan parte importante de la diversidad fúngica de los bosques templados de México. Sin embargo, los estudios donde se caracterizan las ectomicorrizas sin la utilización de esporomas son escasos. Por ello, en este estudio se caracterizaron 3 ectomicorrizas presentes en las raíces de Pinus montezumae inoculadas con suelo forestal que contenía propágulos de ectomicorrizas nativas del Área Natural Protegida de Piedra Canteada, Tlaxcala. Se hicieron descripciones detalladas de las ectomicorrizas denominadas como morfotipo amarillo, blanco y negro y, posteriormente, se amplificó la región ITS2 de ADNr mediante PCR, utilizando los iniciadores ITS5 e ITS4. Mediante el enfoque combinado de técnicas morfológicas y moleculares, se identificaron los taxones de ectomicorrizas nativas que colonizan el sistema radical de P. montezumae. Las ectomicorrizas de los morfotipos amarillo y blanco se identificaron como Tylospora sp. y Aureoboletus sp., respectivamente. Ambos son nuevos registros de hongos ectomicorrízicos en México. Mientras que la caracterización morfológica fue suficiente para la identificación del morfotipo negro como Cenococcum geophilum. Estos resultados contribuyen al conocimiento de la diversidad fúngica nativa del suelo forestal asociada a P. montezumae, cuya presencia y función ecológica favorecen la sostenibilidad de esta área protegida.
