Abstract

Favolaschia roldana is described and illustrated as a new species. It was collected in the south of DistritoFederal, in Abies religiosa with Quercus and Pinus forest and Quercus-Pinus forest. It is characterized by the presenceof larger basidia than those found in other species, acanthocysts in all hymenial surface and by growing on dry branchesof Roldana angulifolia.
