Abstract

We report 8 new records of bats for the Centro de Investigaciones Costeras La Mancha (CICOLMA), located in the coastal zone of Actopan, Veracruz, Mexico, accounting for a total of 23 species. The new records belong to Phyllostomidae (Artibeus intermedius, Chiroderma villosum, Uroderma bilobatum, Centurio senex, Leptonycteris curasoae), Mormoopidae (Mormoops megalophylla) and Vespertilionidae (Myotis fortidens, Myotis velifera) families. The conservation efforts of the CICOLMA biological station are important, because in spite of its small area, it keeps an important bat diversity from the coastal region of Veracruz.
