A NEW SPECIES OF SYMPHYLURINUS FOR MEXICO IS DESCRIBED AND ILLUSTRATED BASED ON SPECIMENS COLLECTED FROM CHIAPAS AND TABASCO STATES. THIS NEW TAXON IS CHARACTERIZED BY THE ABSENCE OF SPICIFORM PROCESSES ON THE CERCI OF BOTH SEXES, THE PRESENCE OF TWO LONG SETAE ON THE ANTENNAL SEGMENT II, AND 7+7 MACROSETAE ON THE MESONOTUM AND UROSTERGUITO III.
