Abstract

A new species of centipede genus Ityphilus Cook, 1899, I. cifuentesi sp. nov., is described on the basis of anunidentified male specimen collected in the El Pachón Cave, Tamaulipas, Mexico. This is the 27th species describedfor the genus worldwide and the second from Mexico. Also, this is third centipede species of Ballophilidae familyrecorded from México.
