A new species of Anoda from Guerrero, Mexico

Abstract

A new species, Anoda reflexa Díaz-Contreras and Cruz-Durán (Malvaceae, section Liberanoda) is describedfrom Guerrero, Mexico. It is related to A. thurberi A. Gray and A. pubescens Schltdl. However, it differs from bothin the size and color of the flower, type of stem pubescence, and geographic range. A table is included comparing themost important characters that allow the identification of A. reflexa, as well as an identification key.
