Abstract

The Red Diamondback Rattlesnake, Crotalus ruber, had not been reported in Coronados Island in the Gulfof California. However, several specimens have been found in this island since 2011. Overwater dispersal is proposedas the most acceptable hypothesis to explain its presence.
