Resumen

Strepsylla Traub, 1950 is considered a New World flea genus, parasitizing, in most cases, species of Muridae,
particularly peromyscines. Thirteen species of Strepsylla are addressed with respect to their taxonomic characters, host
preferences and geographic distribution. A detailed list of material is included.
